Sylvania Schools Career Pathways
A career pathway is a series of academic and technical career-focused coursework and other educational learning experiences leading to a career specialty and employment in a career field. Sylvania Schools offers six different pathways: Arts & Communications, Business & Management, Environmental & Agricultural, Health & Human Services, Industrial & Engineering and Information Technology

College Tech Prep
Ohio College Tech Prep engages educators, employers and communities to serve students through a rigorous sequence of education leading to a post-secondary degree, high skills, and high demand technical employment.

College Tech Prep programs offer college-equivalent courses in high schools to qualified students who are interested in technical careers. Students prepare for college while developing skills needed for challenging technical careers. Programs link two years of high school with at least two years of college. Participants get a jump start leading to an associate or bachelor’s degree or post-secondary certification and employment in a high skill, high tech career

Articulated Credits – Students may receive non-graded articulated credits or advance placement in college with successful completion of a Tech Prep program and passage of a college proficiency test. Participating institutions are: University of Toledo, Owens Community College, and Northwest State Community College.

Dual Enrollment Through Northwest State Community College students can earn college credits while enrolled in a High School Tech Prep Program.
