Good Evening Sylvania Schools Families,
There is a strong indication that tomorrow, Wednesday, January 25th, we will experience a significant snowstorm across NW Ohio.
Based on multiple weather reports, the predicted winter storm will allow Sylvania Schools to safely begin our school day with unremarkable conditions. However, as the school day progresses, more specifically prior to and during dismissal, it is predicted that we will experience a significant increase in snow resulting in unsafe road conditions for our nearly 8000 students and their families to travel home safely.
We understand that closing school can create an inconvenience for our families; however, our top priority is the safety of our students and staff. Keeping this evening’s latest forecast prediction in mind, Sylvania Schools will be closed tomorrow, January 25, 2023.
