Licensed teaching staff/Administrators
Sylvania Schools accepts applications for employment year-round. Individuals interested in teaching and administrative positions should apply online by selecting “Apply” next to the position in which there is interest. Read all instructions carefully. In order to ensure your application is as accurate as possible, we encourage you to periodically update your information.

All additional information (cover letters, license, transcripts, resume and letters of recommendation) needs to be uploaded in order for your application to be considered for employment per directions on the on-line application materials. Please do not submit additional information and copies to schools or district offices.

Current college students should note that we understand that you may be unable to transmit copies of teaching licenses and transcripts at the time of application. Lack of these documents will not prevent your application from being considered but should be added to your application via upload at the time of their receipt. Please do not ask colleges or universities to mail credentials directly to us.

Substitute positions are posted year-round. Candidates are chosen for an interview from this substitute pool as needed, based on qualifications.

You must have an Ohio teaching license to be considered for employment as a Teacher in Sylvania Schools. For substitute teaching, you will be required to have a Bachelor’s degree along with an Ohio substitute teaching license. You may contact the Ohio Department of Education at 614.466.3593 to obtain information on getting an Ohio teaching license or the Ohio Substitute teaching license.
